Does “Trumpanzee Repubs” imply black republican (given the post’s context)? If so, that’s offensive as fuck. Even if it doesn’t imply black republican, I’d still avoid ever using that term ever again, just in case.

You think that’s meant to mean black Republicans in the context of a comment complaining about Donald’s racism?

No, I think it’s a poor choice and one that you can easily avoid in future. It skirts really close to racial if not fully over the line.

I really hope none of the 11 or 12 black Republicans in existence ever come across this post because they’d be piiiiissed.

Why does your mind immediately jump to black people at the mention of chimpanzees? Sounds like you’re the one with bias that needs unpacking.

Maybe as a person of color I might be a little sensitive to racial slurs being thrown around. You know, a lifetime of that shit does tend to get to you after a bit. Is that enough unpacking for you or does I need more justification for you to grace me with your blessings?

“Trumpanzee” or any other possibly racially charged bullshit, especially when we are talking about racism, is not something that needs defending.

Because it’s been a way to dehumanize black people for literal centuries. And it hasn’t gone away as doctored pictures of the Obamas can attest to.
