Pull judges directly from the Federal Circuit; run them for 8-10 years; then send them back to the Federal Circuit as a distinguished judge. Supreme Court Judges should resist political pressure; but they should not be appointed for life.

And of course coming with a nice retirement package and a lifetime ban from working for companies who cases they over saw as a justice.
