Obviously this is still sort of an experiment, but I figured why not keep trying it? I know the sub is technically open again, but I want to genuinely explore alternatives to Reddit.

Okay, so how do we bring this community to life?
We need to convince more of our fellow shitlibs to make the jump from reddit. But until then… horrifying as it is, we’ll need to keep posting content ourselves.
There are some pretty militant pro-reddit users in that sub, that just seem to love the reddit app and have no problem with anything that’s gone down there.
Unfortunately, the sub has a real problem with knee-jerking against whatever the majority of redditors are doing. So if most redditors are against the API changes, some users are gonna reflexively defend the company just to be contrarian. One of the more frustrating aspects of the community which I hope doesn’t get ported over here if/when the migration starts in earnest.
