Hey comrades, in a discussion in another thread I’ve realized that I’m still extremely under-informed about all the socialist movements that exist across the countries of Africa. For instance, a comrade brought up Angola and my first thought was that they’re led by a socialist in-name-only party, but like I said I’m extremely under-informed so I think there’s a good chance that thought has to be a kneejerk reaction due to some propganda I’ve consumed unknowingly in the past.
So, I’m here to ask for any of your favorite reading about this! Essays, articles, even a well sourced yt vid (hopefully I don’t just get vids tho lol), whatever you think has been a good resource in studying this area! Again, specifically want stuff focusing from ~2000 onward, I of course still need to read more about the 20th century (and even other earlier de-colonial struggles!), but I’m much more confident that at least have a good grasp of the broad strokes of 20th century movements.
Thx comrade!!!
