The original issue turned out to be a faulty power supply. While I wait for those fuses to come in figured I would replace the board caps and add the GEM.

Thanks! One goal I have for this sub is for it to be a jumping off point for folks looking to learn about what’s out there. This extra info adds a lot to your post, rock on.
No problem. Also also leave this video here as well. It goes over the N64Digital install, which the soldering steps are exactly the same as the Gem. It’s a great resource for anyone looking to get into this type of soldering work.
