I’m not gonna bother with this specific format anymore just like with the “change my mind” one and I will change the title of the post to give more attention to this issue as the meme is very popular.
fwiw people have made lots of variations on the “change my mind” meme that don’t feature white nationalists. Same goes for the insanely popular Drake yeah/nah meme. I would not be surprised if the same is true here.
I just don’t thing that giving attention to those people is good unless it’s specifically about mocking them. Not like the second thing doesn’t do the same thing as first one but yeah… Personal opinions and stuff.
Edit: also I don’t get how anyone can be fine with having transphobes in their regular memes. Each your laugh will be accompanied by disgust of seeing a pos alongside the text.
Sure. I think doing caring so much has the opposite effect though. I literally didn’t know it was him in the meme until now. Now here we are talking about and paying attention to the guy.
I’d have scrolled through the pic if you hadn’t edited it.
Not using Voldemort’s name is trash writing for kids and it’s a trash way to live your life.
These memes aren’t criticizing or satirizing Chappelle or Crowder, they use them to make completely unrelated points. Which is just free exposure and cultural relevance for people who already have too much of both.
Alright, so the person seems to be called “Dave Chappelle” and here are some articles I’ve found: https://www.vox.com/culture/22738500/dave-chappelle-the-closer-daphne-dorman-trans-controversy-comedy

Yeah, I know about the variations of those but nothing came to my mind when thinking about this format or something similar to it. Hmmm…
Really? Memes have the jester’s privilege imo.
