In the UK, we pride ourselves on our shared values of compassion, dignity, and respect for individual choice. Yet, our laws fall short when it comes to supporting those enduring unbearable suffering at the end of life. Kim Leadbeater’s Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, set for its second reading on 29 November, on assisted dying offers an opportunity for reform, giving the UK a chance to set a gold standard in compassionate, well-regulated legislation.

Well, if paying less for avocados didn’t work why don’t you try death? Everything is permitted to be sacrificed on the altar of boomers.

First, make PIP payments and disability insurance above the poverty line.

Don’t become one of those countries where disabled people are financially pressured towards euthanasia. The government benefits from this and will covertly allow it to happen like is currently the case in Canada, unless we make our voices heard.

This proposed law cannot be applied to disabled people anyway. Only people with a terminal illness and under 6 months left to live are eligible.
