Basically the title. I’m stressed out of my mind with finals and a billion reports go finish and I can’t sleep. Talk to me Lemmy. I’m sad and stressed.

Oh. I’m 6/10 done if that helps.

This looks difficult, but you’ve got this! You’ve put in the work, and have just a little bit more to clear these finals and reports. You’re close. Very close. You know this stuff. You’ve studied hard. Its worth it. You wake up every day and raise your head off that pillow, but when your head hits the pillow again at night, you’re different. You’re smarter. You’re stronger. Its not just the knowledge you’re putting in your head that is making you a better person. Its your tenacity, and honor in setting a difficult goal. You’ve set this goal and every day you take hard won steps closer to it. Years from now you’re going to be thinking about days like today. You’re going to be proud of yourself, and you should be. You’re building a rock solid foundation that you’re going to build a career out of. Its going to look different in the future from what you’re envisioning today, but its still going to be successful. It will be successful because you’ve made it so. Your efforts. Your work. Your drive.

So I say again: You’ve got this. I believe in you.

Hardest without a shadow of a doubt electromagnetism 1 and 2. I’m on 2 atm it’s nasty. I entirely get why some people get tats for Maxwell’s equations after they are done.

Favorite is tough. There have been some seriously fun. Maybe one called math complements (calculus in the complex plane). It’s elegant and makes a lot of complicated things simpler. Either that or physics 4. Which was optics - special relativity - qm. It was seriously beautiful and the professor was a baller.

Edit. Supposedly discrete systems and DSP are hard too. But the professor is honestly so so good that I didn’t feel that way. But by all reports those classes with a diff professor suck.

Jealous, I suspect you’d have to have a pretty baller prof to make Schrodinger equations fun. You’re right, a passionate professor is the difference between misery and epiphany.

What got you interested in engineering?

Also, do you have any projects that you are particularly proud of? It doesn’t have to be anything grand. Small projects count.

What got you interested in engineering?

I needed a scholarship to get back to school. My grades were high enough to get one for engineering in a good school. But not to get the major I actually wanted at the time. So I got the nearest thing.

Having that said. Knowning what I know now I’d have gone directly to electronics eng. Its one of those things. Every day I wake up feeling that I am exactly where I’m supposed to be.

The things I made I like the most aren’t eng related so far. Had a graphs and algorithms class and I put it to use in games making games around pathfinding concepts. Like mazing tower defenses. There’s one specifically that I’m still gonna finish it cause I swear. It looked good and felt fun.

Other than that for control currently doing cars football. But it’s early stages still. But I think it’s gonna come out fun.

    No worries, you got it!

It might sound strange, but sometimes you just need to relax a bit. Take a good rest and forgot about all this stuff for half to one hour. Then come back and continue on the work, you will feel less stressful and more effective to work through your reports and study.

Good luck on your reports and finals! You will get through it, but it just takes time.

Just the obvious. Don’t fall behind. And even if you know nothing don’t take make up exams. Those are always a bad idea. Make friends that you like to study with.

Oh also. If you truly learn calc 1-4. It pays in dividends the rest of the major. But I’m aware that’s wishful thinking.

      You’ll have a great time.

If you didn’t have time to study for it the first time you won’t for the make up exam either.

It’s just going to stress you and take away time from other classes. Get it over with at once.

Even if you feel you will get a flat zero. Go and do your best. Skipping an exam to try and do better on a makeup later is -always- a bad idea.
