ooh a good game that doesn’t require an Amazon prime subscription! Thanks for the heads up!

For the penguins out there, it’s platinum on protondb so it should be easy to play on Linux via Heroic Launcher.

Glad to see I’m not the only one. Don’t get me wrong, they are properly tagged as a prime game but there’s just something disingenuous about saying a game is free when you have to pay a subscription to get it.

Hey smeg that is a great post, thank you. As mentioned the Prime games are still tagged as such, so I don’t feel like I have any grounds to actually “complain”, if you can call it that.

While I disagree with the ease of enabling a free trial and then cancelling it for a free prime game, that doesn’t really matter in the big picture. You’re doing great listing all the free stuff all the time (even during Christmas!) and I think it’s super fair and more importantly, your prerogative to do as you please.

Thanks, it means a lot to me that people are enjoying and benefiting from the posts, and any (non-angry!) feedback is welcome.

It’s definitely a bit of a faff to claim and cancel the free trial, but if you’re say a student then I imagine the number of free games you can grab from one trial makes the effort much more worth it than someone with much less free time on their hands. You can also piggyback via a family account and get it for essentially free, though obviously that’s quite a technicality!

The flip side is that I don’t want to indirectly support Amazon, so I hope nobody ends up intentionally or unintentionally paying for prime because of my posts!
