Taliban Supreme Leader Hibatullah Akhundzada has issued a new decree regulating window placement in buildings, ordering that women must not be visible from neighboring homes while cooking, sitting, or standing.
The five-point decree, announced Saturday, December 29, by the Taliban’s Administrative Affairs Office on X (formerly Twitter), outlines strict measures to ensure women’s privacy.
According to the first article, any new building constructed within a pathway’s distance of another structure cannot have windows facing the neighbor’s kitchen, water well, or any area where women are commonly present.
The second article requires property owners with existing windows overlooking a neighbor’s home to build a wall or take other steps to eliminate the perceived “harm” to neighbors.
It’s really astonishing sometimes how much time and effort they put into enabling their weird combination of prudishness and perversion.
At some point, it has to just be simpler to grow the fuck up and come to terms with sexuality instead of engaging in these ever-more-bizarre attempts to somehow hide it away (which never works anyway), and it seems like they already passed that point a long time ago.
It’s also definitely way too attached to wanting to own the women. They’d otherwise go the other way and be all “big titties for lyfe” because if you like looking at hot women then covering them up sounds kinda counter that entire notion unless you see women as property that only you get access to.
Basically they aren’t hiding from sex, they’re controlling it. They aren’t prudes, they’re abusers.
You’re expecting common sense from the religious. They already believe in imaginary beings that rule the universe, good luck trying to convince them of reality.
At least this one is saying “build so you can’t see them” as opposed to their usual “women must be unseen by men”.
First I’ve seen where the job is not on the woman. Will probably still be blamed when it goes wrong though.
