my mom often made tuna hotdish with chicken (or turkey) instead. subbing-in cream of chicken for the cream of mushroom. since no one but me and mom would eat it with the mushroom soup, it was ‘better’ for us that way, i guess. the ‘real thing’ was usually reserved for when it was just us two.
I find that any recipe with tuna that I sort of liked, I loved when I replaced it with chicken. Maybe the younger one is the same?
