Just double-checking though yes it seems obvious, does the UK refer to the sidewalk as “pavement”?

How is this not already a thing? The pavement is not the street, don’t put your personal vehicle on it I mean is it that difficult?

I’m in Canada, and my municipality has one protected bike lane that is buffered by bollards and a curb.

Yet, I can’t tell you how many times some douchebag with an oversized pickup truck will bypass those protections so that they can fit into the parking spot that runs beside this bike lane (while blocking the bike lane in doing so).

If laws and enforcement aren’t working to deter this kind of behaviour, give pedestrians and cyclists a legally protected right to bump, scratch and/or smash the side of these vehicles in passing. And I’ll leave this for your entertainment.

right to bump, scratch and/or smash the side of these vehicles in passing.

Whoops, looks like my tire pump that I was holding in my hand just collided with your thousand dollar mirror. My bad.

I’ve also been known to leave a dent in the doors of people who do this.

Fuck people who block bike lanes.
