Pro is smaller than the base model. Is this how it was in the past, historically? I can’t remember.
Yeah, that seems really shitty, and I don’t recall Apple ever doing that before.
Edit: just did some research, and it seems Apple used the smaller battery to reduce the weight of the phone so that the pro would be lighter than the base model. Additionally the smaller battery doesn’t equate to less battery life because the A17 chip in the pro model is more power efficient than the A16 that’s in the base model.
I think the Pro models have always had smaller batteries. Among other reasons, they have more cameras taking up a lot more space.
The 13 and 14 pros have smaller batteries than the non-pro to fit the third camera
