The other thread about favorite mechanics is great, so let’s also do the opposite: what are some of your most hated mechanics?
They should just give you a decent mount. Like let you fly a dragon or whatever in Skyrim so then you can get to places easier but still experience the world. I did like the Silt Striders in Morrowind though, they also had the wagon dudes in Skyrim but for some reason also added the normal fast travel.
