Beautiful day. Here’s a question for the hive mind (pun intended).
My back lawn, which I will eventually get rid of, is now about 90% clover. Which I think is great and the bees seem to agree.
That being said, with a dog and neighbouring chickens, I do need to mow the thing as snakes are a confirmed threat in the area.
My question is, do the bees get out of the way in time? I really really hope they do, but it’s hard to tell. It’s a battery operated mower so it’s quieter (at least to the human ear) and doesn’t produce smoke or stinky fumes.
I think they do, even when there’s lots of bees around they seem to take off in time to avoid my push mower. I haven’t noticed any bees getting caught by it despite it also being pretty quiet compared to a petrol mower.
