Notes are probably the most important thing for me on my phone, ranging from jokes and quotes from my friends and family, to fanfiction and original stories. But I’m planning to buy a new phone soon. It’s gonna be a Xiaomi, like my current one, (bc it’s affordable) but I’m not sure i will be able to use Mi cloud to conveniently transfer them, because i want to install LineageOS in my next phone. As well as that, there’s also my old Samsung Galaxy Ace 4, which i want to transfer the notes from somehow, while it is still working. On that old Samsung, i could send notes via Bluetooth to my sister’s phone, but when i tried to send them to this phone, it opened as gibberish (if i remember correctly. That was 4 years ago now) Is there a convenient way to transfer my notes between devices so i won’t lose them forever? 😞
you really gonna ask this and not list what apps you use to store your notes on?
Google keep syncs to you Google account and requires no manual exporting or transferring. You could also achieve something similar with OneNote. So maybe consider using a different note app?
What notes app are you using? Ideally, it would have an export/import feature and you would use the same app on the new device.
The easiest is to use a Notes app with a sync feature in the first place. If your app(s) do not support that, I guess you will need to copy/ paste it into a new Notes app which does support syncing. ‘Joplin’ and ‘Standard Notes’ are two very nice (and are even open source) Notes apps which do that perfectly IMHO.
Use Joplin. Get a free Dropbox account and sync with that. Then Joplin will sync between all of your Devices and Desktop.
I was using Google notes, but exported all of my notes out of there when I started caring about not letting Google know every single thing about me.
I’m using NextCloud and sync notes with it. It’s most better for privacy than other company. So NC and Joplin and Quillpad. Privacy is most important, do not use app from big brothers. Cheers
When all else fails, email yourself… :/
Without knowing which notes app you are using it may be difficult to help you.
I hate that most notes apps save your files somewhere you can’t easily access, fortunately I found Markor which has the feature to let me chose where to save my notes.

As I said, without knowing which app you are using is not easy to give you a valid advice, all I can think right know is using the clipboard to copy/paste the notes content to an app like markor, Notes or Collaboration Office and save the file on an SD card.
