Do maggots offer more points than scorpions? I was just curious, it feels like I get more points from maggots, but maybe it’s just me lol.

No, they don’t - scorpions actually give more monster points, it’s just easier to kill maggots, so you might be earning them faster. Once you’ve got some better gear and levelled up a bit, you’ll find it just as easy to fight the scorpions… and then you’ll start wondering the same thing about the goblins :P
