Edit: as the larger issue, when incorrect mod actions happen, shouldn’t Lemmy have a system for handling those? Both transparency to the users, and ways to forward the action for an admin to fix

    Nah, too rude for me to use language like that. I try to personally demonstrate more nuance.

    Pretty mask-off moment if the mod action is an intended purge tho. For now, I’m giving the benefit of the doubt on a mistake and not bad faith.

      Yeah no I don’t do respectability politics. If all you have to say is “you’re being mean” to a genuine attempt at helping you understand what may have gone wrong than you don’t sound like the kind of person the mods want to keep around. And now thanks to this, everyone is going to walk away thinking you’re some kind of racist so good job on that 👍

      My advice from me to you is cut the crap unless you want to be chain banned from the entire federation. Nobody wants to put up with that.

        I don’t know what’s going on here? I appreciate your help and was discussing it — the things which apply and which don’t. What do you mean with this reply? Is it meant for some other thread? Who called you mean? What is the racism sentence there?

              I’m done. Good luck dealing with an actual mod when they come by. They will likely be more professional than me but they won’t be nicer.

                What is the reason for acting negatively? I truly understand and don’t hold it against you if you really are genuine and accidentally said something you meant to go elsewhere. No need to worry about losing face or anything. This is just a text forum, things happen and they’re easy to correct.
