The genocide is still ongoing and many things are still developing in Palestine, but we are removing the limitation on only posting things related to the operation Flood of Al-Aqsa to this thread, you can now freely post over Lemmygrad again.

Please don’t stop talking about Palestine.

Due to popular demand, please keep all posts about the operation to this megathread, sitewide.

One thing about being an anime fan is that you’re always reminded that most of your peers don’t consider Japanese people to be thinking, breathing humans unless they regurgitate right wing talking points.

There have been some Pro-Palestine demonstrations in Japan and the usual suspects are convinced that it’s nothing but foreign agents and “globalists” stirring up trouble in White people Wakanda. https://www.asahi.com/sp/ajw/articles/15050476

I have joined some of those demonstrations. Not as many as I would like, but it is a bit of a trip for me to get to them.

They’re definitely real, and I saw people of all ages and backgrounds, though they are definitely predominantly Japanese. Notably, most of the signage is actully in Japanese. I have friends from here literally in Gaza right now; though I have not heard from them since just right after the Israeli bombing campaigns started.

People here are often very politically apathetic, but this goes far beyond politics.
