What part of wefwef would cause an issue? Unless the wefwef devs are using visual assets from Apollo that are not free to use, there’s no issue.

You can’t sue someone for… What? The visual placement of buttons? How the animations work? The entire software industry would collapse overnight if we couldn’t re-use design patterns.

I didn’t mean it as a bad thing, I’m extremely fond of the design, it’s almost identical to Apollo and didn’t know if it would become an issue in the future because of that, that’s all I’m asking.

I was thinking this morning that at some point it has to bump against some sort of design legality. That being said while we wait for him to make a Lemmy app ( one can hope ) I’ll take Wefwef.

I think the reason that Apple were so enamoured with Apollo is because it followed all their design guides, so there’s no issue with another app for iOS (that also happens to work on other platforms) also following them.
