It’s a thing I’m seeing more and more often … people thinking an image is from a video game … and I think it’s mildly interesting.
In this case … it’s a bad image … open the file on its own and zoom in and it’s a bit glitchy and plenty pixelated.
The interesting thing is I think we’ve got a generation brought up on video games who are well trained at spotting video game footage and assessing its quality etc, but, as a consequence, are now basically sensitive to a somewhat new illusion where imagery that is off in someway will look like video game footage to us rather than something that’s just off or noisy/glitchy.
