MLP (My Little Pony…?) seems to think so, although at the moment, this is just speculation… an educated guess based on past products by Analogue being released shortly after related controllers by 8BitDo.

I wouldn’t make a bet on this one way or another, and if an Analogue Neo-Geo does get manufactured, I wouldn’t be able to afford it anyway. However! The Neo-Geo click-stick does interest me for its compatibility (or potential compatibility) with other game consoles.

PCs, Android devices, and the long-forgotten Neo-Geo Mini are all confirmed to work with this controller, but firmware updates and an adapter could greatly expand its compatibility in the future.

I’m pointing this out because there are roughly twenty Neo-Geo Pocket games for the Switch and Switch Lite, and exactly zero of these play well with that system’s default controllers. A Neo-Geo joypad with microswitches and tactile feedback would go a long way toward making these games more enjoyable… and Neo-Geo arcade games… and fighting games by SNK’s competitors.

If this controller is well designed (and it is by 8BitDo, so it’s very likely), this could be a boon for fighting game fans… and fans of old-school arcade games too. Yeah, I’d buy that for thirty-five dollars. (An extra five dollars for King of Fighters '97 decals is pushing it, though.)
