The community as a whole didnt act at all, 2 completely different sections of the community acted in directly opposing manners within 3 months of each other.

The boycott posts are filled with “who cares” comments, and the bragging posts are filled with “bad purchase” comments.

No as a whole they didn’t, but there is NO WAY every single person who upvoted “Boycott Nvidia” posts didn’t upvote “I just bought an RTX card” posts.

Sure yeah, some people may not have flipflopped. But given how many upvotes both types of posts got months apart in the same community, the more likely explanation is a community of weak willed people who gave in to FOMO, decided to memory hole their boycott.

So, youre just blindly making up guesses because they fit your already preset opinion of that community?

In that case, Im pretty sure you made all of those boycott posts, as well as the new purchase ones. You just made a bunch of accounts for each, and then paid a botting service to upvote them.

Sure, maybe some of the posts or votes were genuine. But the majority were just your sockpuppets.
