The mod of https://lemmy.world/c/songaweek has no intention of building this former reddit sub. His only lemmy post is “the community is located elsewhere”. He is instead using squabbles, https://squabbles.io/s/songaweek. I loved r/songaweek and would like “take over” as mod of songaweek. I’d love to know if there is a way of doing this. If I am asking in the wrong place please let me know.

On one level, I get it - It’s all part of the exit from Reddit, and each community flees to somewhere else. Most went to Lemmy, but not all (for various reasons). Especially for a small community, it makes sense to have everyone aligned on where they want to move to. Fracturing that group can kill something that was already niche.
