Hi everyone I am an android user (Samsung s20 fe is my current phone) who will be switching to iPhone for the first time within the next few weeks. I was wondering if there’s anything unique I need to know about iphone or Ios so I won’t have a hard time adjusting.
I made that change last March. It was very useful that I kept my Samsung on WiFi. Have the store salesperson teach you how to turn the iPhone on and off. It was not intuitive! I kept my contacts and calendar on my Samsung as they were incomplete when transferred by Verizon and double entered. It was easier to just delete them all and leave them off. Make sure you have a powerful enough power block to charge your iPhone as my old Samsungs were to weak at 5 when the iPhone does best at 30. The iPhone had no instructions so Google was my friend for the set up with more than double the memory, I though I would have plenty of storage but the Apple apps are bigger than the same apps from the Google store. Apple’s Siri is just as bad as Samsung’s Bixby. I ignore both voice command systems on either phone and disabled much of both. They are part of the operating systems so they can’t be safely removed. The iPhone was very slick and slippery and that glass looked fragile so I bought an over sized protective foam silicone case to protect it. With the case, the iPhone won’t fit in my pocket, but is fine in my zippered shoulder or hip bag. It would be too easy to have it slip out of a coat pocket onto the parking lot getting in or out of a vehicle.
Hi! Thank you for replying. I have a few additional questions would 256gb be enough for me considering the fact you said the apple apps take more. I currently have 128 on my Samsung and I’ve only used 78 percent of it. Also idk if you use social media but are most apps free in the apple store or do I have to pay for apps that would be free on Samsung. How do you like your phone so far since your a year in?
