    I think others have probably thought of the idea, but this reminds me of something I thought of. For older kids you don’t want to get a smartphone yet, (maybe 8-14 or so) get them a cellular Apple Watch. That way they can call or text but not get into social media, and they’re at less likely to lose it since it’s on their wrist lol.

    Anyone doing this?

      I feel like 14 is too far. 6-11 seems nice, the younger ages mainly can use it for tracking for safety or fun things like the handwashing timer. But reaching 13-14 is when kids need to learn how to be more social and make friends/connections, you don’t want them getting introverted or made fun of because they’re constantly trying to text on a watch and are limited in their online presence. Social media should be kept to a minimum though. In a perfect world, I’d rather have no devices and live at peace, but to get anywhere in this modern world you need tech now 😭
