I think I might need to step my game up. My Mr. Coffee seems inadequate now. Beautiful set up!
Thank you kindly. It was a slow path here, but each step has been such fun!
I have that same kettle, it’s so simple but great.

Could’ve fooled me. I got mine for the temperature control and the goose neck spout. Going strong for 3-4 years now.
Same here. Simple design, comes to the exact temp I want and holds it there. Mine lasted about three years until I got it wet and the readout went out. Weirdly it still worked fine but I eventually replaced it.
Only annoying part of it is the flow control is just a little too aggressive. I have to break out my other kettle when i’m making tea because I just can’t quite pour fast enough. But ya there’s only a few kettles that you could argue are actually better than the stagg. And sure you pay a bit extra for the design but that’s fine.
Idk I got mine because James Hoffman said, of the five or so he tested in some video, it was the easiest to pour slowly. I’m not exactly an expert so maybe it’s not actually very functional, but I didn’t buy mine solely for the looks. Just like 50% haha
You’re not wrong. I have a cheap pouring kettle elsewhere and I sort of prefer using it. But I bought the Corvo first and figured since I already had the base I might as well get the replacement Stagg and have interoperability.
I’ve read that many others have had QC issues, but it’s worked a treat for me.
Yeah, if you complain they just send you a new one. Didn’t even ask for the old one back. They must be making money hand over fist.
The call of espresso is irresistible. You can’t fight her off for long. She will have you.

Hahahaha she’s gotten me a few times, then reality of a tenuous financial situation got the better of her song. As soon as things are settled it’s number one on my list.
Lol I held out as long as possible but it eventually gets you. Also I just love the look of the fellow ode. Great set up.
Can you list everything here? On the top left, is that for drip?
Course: top left is the Fellow Ode grinder with SSP burrs next to the Fellow kettle. I made the little shelf myself with a cutting board and some shelf riser legs. Tucked beneath is a small black tray with the James Hoffmann dosing cup and spray bottle on the left (I believe the dosing cup has been discontinued, sadly) atop the Acaia Lunar scale, while on the right is the Hario V60 01 in glass with an olive wood holder. In the back of the tray are my filter papers in a generic black metal holder and my daily supplements. Also in the tray is a lone chopstick used for stirring. Photobombing on the right is my pride and glory KitchenAid stand mixer.
Top left is a conical burr grinder, the best way to get that perfect consistent grind.
I dont want to be that guy, but the grinder there uses flat burrs, not conical ones.
Thanks for the correction, the truth is always welcome.
Looking slick. Definitely jealous with my hand grinder and moka pot.
Hand grinder give a 10+ boost to taste receptors for 30 minutes
Enjoy what you’ve got and enjoy the ride. As long as you’re finding pleasure in your coffee you’re doing something right!
I’m stil a basic budget bitch with my v60, Krups grinder and Hario Air Kettle, jealous of how nice your set up looks!
Never give in to espresso! Instead throw ludicrous amounts of money at filter stuff and tell yourself it’s okay because ‘at least you’re not doing espresso’. 't is the way!
Also; nice setup. The fellow grinder is on my radar, for when my old Vario W completely dies on me. It’s that, or I go all in and buy one of those mini EKs.
Incredible and super aesthetic!
Is that an Ode or Ode 2? I have a baratza encore an just about pulled the trigger on an Ode but ended up backing off. How have you liked it? My encore spots chaff everywhere and I really hate adding water to the beans before grinding.
It’s the original Ode & I do indeed use a spritz of water before grinding (the little black tube in the white dosing cup is an atomiser). I’ve been super happy with the Ode but if you’re not going to add the water you’ll have a frustrating time.
Ooh I like that little shelf!
Thank you! I couldn’t find one to the right specs so I hobbled it together using a cutting board and spare shelf riser legs.
Love the set up, where’s you get that bowl for measuring beans (I assume) in the bottom left?
It’s from Hundreds Thousands, James Hoffmann’s merch brand.
Edit: Tens* Hundreds Thousands, sorry
Ha! It’s not the lack of enjoying espresso for me, it’s the lack of funds to invest enough where i’d be happy with my at-home output! But I can make a killer filter coffee for relatively cheap at home.
