For example, I have an e-bike that I want to take for a long ride to see how many miles I can go before the battery dies. But since this e-bike has a throttle and is not actually exercise, I don’t want to log a cycling workout. I just want to know how far I traveled.
And if there’s nothing like that on the watch, what about the iPhone?
You could always use the backtrack feature
If you’re not actually exercising it won’t count as a workout anyway
Just track it as a bike ride and delete it when done. If you are just testing the battery, start a bike workout and lay it down outside in the shade. It will use just as much battery sitting under a tree with the GPS running than it would on an e-bike. It’s not the “distance” that drains the battery, it’s the time spent with GPS active and polling of all the sensors.
You can use the app and not save the ride
ok I’ll do this, thanks
iPhone app “MapMyTracks”.
