Do you use Aldente?
I do not.
ok,try calibrating the battery, this might just be battery miscalibration:
1.Charge the battery fully, and leave on charge for another 2 hours.
2.Change all the Battery Settings and the Desktop Screen settings to consume maximum energy
3.Let the laptop battery run down completely. This may take several hours.
4.Leave the laptop off and unplugged overnight to make sure the battery is fully drained.
5.Charge the laptop back up and reset the Battery and Desktop settings to normal values.Ok I’ll give this a shot.
Thanks for the insight!
no worries, do you keep it plugged in all the time?, also make sure to check what battery health % mac os tells you: go to settings>battery>click on the i icon in battery health bar and tell us what maximum capacity % is, these third party apps can be sometimes inaccurate
Yeah MacOS is reporting the exact same numbers, not sure if iStat menus pulls from the OS.
My usage is all over the place, it’s a healthy mix of plugged in, on the couch, on the go, for work meetings when I want to move around the house etc.
might be an issue with the battery then, try out the battery calibration once and if it doesnt work hit up apple
My M1 Pro is at 84% after 140 cycles. Never figured out why. I never have it dip below 30% and optimized charging is always on.
I’m on track for being at 75% health at 140 cycles though.
Hopefully that doesn’t happen lol. According to coconut battery, I was at 93% at 69 cycles, 95% at 30 cycles
that’s rough. I’ve got over 150 charge cycles on my m2 air in around 9 months. I use it all the time, outdoor in sunlight on high brightness and you name it.
I’m on 94%
