Hello and welcome! The main goal of m/chat is to create a general social space for people to freely and safely communicate about their lives, interests and everything else freely. Casual conversation is encouraged.
Feel free to introduce yourself here and share as much, or as little as you would like. If you don’t have an account, get signed up!
Hey, y’all! I’m evergreen. 26 years old, transfem (she/her), reddit migrant, autism haver (and ADHD haver, among other things.) I like to hang out on 196, and my current hyperfixation is Zelda (particularly Tears of the Kingdom.) I moderate two magazines by default (since I created them:) Deltarune and Zelink.
Boa tarde a todos…sou do Brasil e gosto de variar em todas as redes sociais, sites, etc… gosto de ver futebol (soccer)e faço de tudo um pouco…sou funcionário público quase me aposentando e espero me dar bem aqui nesse kbin…
I’m a Redditor searching for new grounds, my online alias almost anywhere is lilfruini.
I’ve kind of been drifting around these past few days. I’m getting better, but I’ve been dealing with thoughts for the past couple of days that I’m not sure how to handle, and I screwed up so so bad…
Life is going on around me. I like playing Switch and 3DS games, video editing essays or meme stuff, going away from home to classes, and talking with a lot of thoughts, for better or for worse.
I look forward to meeting you all.
Yoo, I’m Osvaldo, I draw and I like pizza
Hi,
I’m trying to decide if kbin or lemmy is the place to be. I really like the beehaw community over there but I’m a bit put off due to the whole stuff surrounding the devs behind the lemmy code base.
Just trying to my find my way around the kbin interface and make sure I’m subscribed to a bunch of “magazines” - will try to be active here as well as beehaw (lemmy) so I can give both systems a proper shake down.
About me: I live in the UK, enjoy nerdy things like SciFi, D&D and tinkering with tech etc but don’t get much time to engage in hobbies as I’m a parent to a demanding toddler (well… nearly not a toddler now I guess. Little kid)
Hello everyone! I’m Osvaldo and I like sports, reading and specially drawing. I’ve got invited to fediverse by my friend, and since the other social medias became super complicated to comunicate and make more friends (and ofc get more people looking at my arts), it became interesting to me to try here.
In case you want to see my arts and all you can check my links in here: https://linktr.ee/osvaldoilustrador
Although I am posting here, in Pixelfed and in Mastodon.Art. As of rn I’m liking here a lot, I see big potential for real.
What’s up, I’m Mars
Came here because of…well, Reddit like everyone else. Too much drama going on over there lol, so I’m here looking for a more relaxed online environment. I have a lot of hobbies, but a few are skateboarding, guitar, reading, tech, hip-hop music, cars, language learning, and astronomy. Not completely new to the Fediverse as I’ve had a Mastodon account for a couple months now (though I’m not very active there). Found kbin and thought it looked cool, so I went ahead and made an account.
Looking forward to having a great time with you all.
I am Kingdogethe42nd, Reddit refugee (using it since 2016). I think I am starting to grasp the whole fediverse now, but I think I’m still not entirely there yet
Welcome to kbin! I think I have kbin mostly figured out, but I’m still learning new stuff daily. If you have any questions I will try my best to help out.
Hi everyone! I am a reddit refugee too, supporting the API change protest with all my heart. It’s nice to see a new platform developing!
Hey I’m Stoat, I was a lurker on the league forums for several years and I’m hoping to be a bit more active on these random topic posts. Video games and hiking are my primary hobbies.
Hey everyone! I’m a Reddit refugee as well. I joined Reddit just after Digg collapsed and I left because I’m upset with how they’re treating the third party app devs (I used Apollo) and I really disliked the direction they were moving towards pushing advertising on its users.
I’m only now learning about the Fediverse and it’s been a neat experience! I’m excited to see how this site evolves and am really hoping that kbin, Lemmy, etc. continue to grow past the blackout!
My interests include reading, swimming, playing the piano, and watching baseball :)
Hi! I was never a Reddit user, but heard about this place after Reddit blew up a few days ago and got interested in checking it out.
I’m in Colorado, an electrical engineer but working an IT job. Ham radio operator. Electronics tinkerer. I enjoy reading and watching sci-fi. And, believe it or not, I collect engineering and math textbooks.
Like many others, fleeing the flaming chaos of reddit, hoping that there will emerge an organic and engaging community here. Much as I prefer lurking by nature, I’m aware that these places only grow when there’s participation, so this is me joining in.
I have an eclectic range of interests and hobbies, and really need to work on my small talk/casual chatting skills rather than overthinking things. So hi all!
Hi! You sound like me haha
Too guilty of lurking, peppering in thr occasional comment here and there.
Nice to see someone on the same journey as me to try to engage this community betterCommunity engagement ftw! And yeah, it can be hard to break old habits, but where better to try it than in a new and growing place like this.
Exactly. Fresh slate, might as well go for it haha
Hello, I’m Guy, a recent Reddit refugee. I spent my first little while lurking around, but this seems like a really nice community.
I see a lot of Apollo refugees around here, anybody from Infinity?Welcome Guy! Glad you decided to make an account here and joined us. I haven’t used Infinity before, ended up using Sync for Reddit (on Android) for many years, but like the rest of them it’s on the way out as well.
Yeah, we’re all on the same ship. The first casualties of Reddit’s enshitification.
I’d recommend trying it out, but with everything being on its way out, there’s no point now haha
O hai!
I am a Rexxiter, though I deleted my account back in 2015.Interested in tech, linux, games, “2010 reddit conversations/threads/interactions (the first reddit worldwide meetup day was an absolute blast)”, and I’m glad to be here.
Over the past year, I’ve been trying to get into overlanding, but it’s piecemeal and slow since money is expensive and the weather out here is crap for 2/3 of the year.
