Per title. We knew it was coming some day, tho perhaps not this soon. Will you be upset if you need ugly adapter to make your extensive + expensive watchband collection work?

I own one band for my series 5, and one for my ultra. I literally couldn’t care less.

I will be as upset as I am about the extensive collection of lightning accessories I can’t use with my new iPhone

Exactly! And … the M1 and M3 iMac. Bought M1 for kid. New one looks identical, including LIGHTNING still … for mouse + keyboard.

I won’t care at all I just bought an ultra this year so unless it has a game changing health feature I won’t upgrade and I have spent less than 50 dollars total on bands other than the ones that came with the watches.

As someone who does not have an extensive collection, I’m fine if they change it. I think most people just have one band.

I have two official bands and a bunch of knockoff sport loops because Apple gave up on making ones that look nice, so it’s not a big deal to me if they change the connector. I’m not planning on upgrading from my Series 7 for a couple more years anyway, so it’s not like I’d have to get rid of my bands in the first place.

I applaud your band strategy. Going forward, I’ll be more judicial in my purchases should new bands become necessary. Thanks!

Cute! You are much more wise than I am! But, I’m in *recovery * now for my Apple addiction.

Not really. The Ultra was my first AW and I only bought one extra watchband for it. My plan is to keep this watch for as long as possible so the bands will be beat up after those years anyways

IF they make smart bands that change color when your heart rate is high or flashes when you’ve got a notification or, even better, add sensors to the band to improve sleep detection, etc., then I’d be fine with it.

If they just change the band for its own sake to be greedy and force people to buy new bands then I’d be upset.

Thanks!! Nurse here. I LOVE idea of band with built-in health features. As long as it’s not chunky + cheap-looking (tho terrific for its time) like my 2014 Samsung Gear S2 on Verizon.

Would be a bit frustrating since I just jumped in on an s9 with steel link band and also grabbed a nomad leather band. Part of how I justified the cost of the link band especially was that I’ll be able to use it across multiple generations… so, here’s hoping it doesn’t change!
