I’m looking to buy a 3rd gen 4K tv, but am not sure if I should buy the Thread/Ethernet version or not…I don’t need the storage or Ethernet port, and have a bunch of HomePod Minis in the house which I believe would handle the Thread radio stuff. And yet…it’s only a $20 difference, so I find myself leaning toward getting the 128GB model “just in case.”
Any good arguments for or against getting the Thread version?
if the 20 bucks isn’t a big deal to you get the thread one you don’t know what the future holds.
I got a deal on a refurb WiFi model and eventually ran Ethernet into that room after the YTTV 4 box split screen view started lagging. Now I have to use the game console on Saturdays for sports. It’s probably worth it to pay a little more if you’re a power user.
I would not go with the features that won’t be needed for the next two years, and by the time I shall upgrade again.
