Hey Does anyone actually believe Apple’s V02 max?
I thought V02 max tests are conducted in a medical facility like a lab or hospital by a doctor, cardiologist, or fitness specialist? And you have an oxygen mask on?
Granted, I am a bit overweight, however I walk 2 miles a day at 20 minutes a mile. Body pump twice a week and pilates twice a week. The more exercise I do, the lower it gets.
At my heaviest, walking under a mile would get me so out of breath and my V02 was higher.
I’ve lost 6.5 stone in just over a year and I have got fitter and, I’m also not as fat as I was.
Anyone else noticed this?
VO2 Max estimate values give you an idea about your aerobic efficiency not your performance. You could have an excellent running performance and still don’t have a good efficiency.
