I’ve had several intentional ones, like South Park, but I’m interested in the ones that the developer didn’t intend. The most recent for me was definitely when I was given the option to turn off nudity in BG3. I’m guessing maybe 1% said no. Definitely no redditor.
Minor Spoilors for Baldurs Gate 3 (on mobile so I can’t hide)
Not sure of it 100% counts as unintentional, but at the start of act 3 you meet a little girl who has lost her mom. You offer to let her stay in your camp while you look for her (but the game heavily implies she is dead) and she moves into your camp with her cat.
An odd detail that confused me at the time is when talking to the cat, you get dialogue options askingbthe cat if she is being abused, which is an odd detail because why would my character automatically think the cat was being abused.
Well further down the line you get word from someone that a shapeshifter has infiltrated your camp. Immediately I put two and two together, lost girl, dead mom, abused cat, she is definitely a shapeshifter who knew i wouldnt say no to a little girl in need. (Plus she was the only new charecter in my camp, everyone else has been with me since act 2)
Confident in my deduction, I decided to confront the girl, to which she had nothing to say but her normal dialogue about making food. So I decided I would force her out of hiding. I picked her up and threw the little girl as far as I could. That didn’t shake her, so I threw her at Lazel, still nothing, so I threw her at a barrel, nothing, threw her at her cat, nothing, eventually everyone had enough of my antics and everyone in my camp attacked me for abusing this little girl
Turns out she wasn’t the shapeshifter, I just threw an innocent girl around camp… I cracked up so hard when I realized XD
I will never come to your camp ever
Especially not in my new playthrough. I played my first one so carefully, now I’m doing a “whatever happens, happens” playthrough. Lazel is already dead
