I wish companies would keep consistent and easily understandable product numbering. Tbh, I have no idea where this falls in the timeline of product releases.
I looked it up. There’s been 8 versions of Apple TVs released.
In my house i have a 3rd gen, an HD, and two 4ks no idea which release. So when I see someone say “2nd gen” I’m wondering why they would pay for such an old device.
So, yeah, it would be nice if they called the current ones Apple TV 2023 or Apple TV 8.
