Just got back to Civ 5 and could not record any game over the last 3-4 years I was invested in.
It’s so hard just trying to find the time… and then when you progress a decent amount into a game life just crops up. It’s so hard to pick a game up a couple of weeks later after being away from it 😅
To answer the question though, probably Final Fantasy XIV or RDR2.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. I have over 1,000 hours in and still haven’t finished it.
Valheim never been intro survival games but this one just felt old school enough to be perfect and it was co-op that’s big for me
Path of exile
43y/o gamer here. RDR2 sucked me in. I play Vampire Survivors as well when I need a break from it
42 here, the full Uncharted series is what I’ve been playing again absolutely amazing game and great story. I’ve beat all the games maybe 5 times
Hitman Trilogy is great.
I’d have to say Monster Hunter on the 3DS. I love how you get to hunt giant creatures with friends and either succeed and celebrate or fail and trash your room. Very basic game in terms of story, but so much you can do in it IMO.
I would have said x4 foundations, probably a typical game for my age, strategy, single player etc. But I recently stepped out of my comfort zone and started playing Rust, it’s multiplayer PvP and definitely a change from normal genre, but I love it!
Satisfactory, I lost several nights sleep to it! Plus dozens of very late nights.
Recently got into the Dark Souls series after initially trying them and getting my ass handed to me repeatedly (turns out charging in with little stamina isn’t a good tactic)
Cyberpunk 2077 grabbed my attention from first boot up and held it for nearly 100 hours.
Red Dead Redemption 2, busy hunting animals to drip Arthur out! Best 100 hrs of gameplay OF MY LIFE!
Just turned 40, started my 3rd play through last night. I always turn to this game when I’ve got a lot of stress and other shit going on in life, not sure why but things always come together when I close my days out with a little RDR2.
I’m only 37, but chiming in anyways. I can spend hours just riding my horse, camping, hunting, and fishing. I always wished R* would have taken that engine and map, and just made a full cowboy simulator with it. No storyline or missions, I just want to build a ranch, raise and sell livestock, and protect it from bandits. That would be the last game I ever needed to own.
Sadly, saying hello to people in towns was my only social contact with people during Lockdown…
Same.
The only part I dont like is I get that “building a house” song stuck in my head!
Bow da bow da bow da bow bah BAH NOW! and there it is again.
45, just had a breakup of a 5 year relationship and RDR2 was my first game played on a new PC. What an experience. I hunted and screwed around way too long when I knew what was coming.
Those are rookie numbers. You gotta pump up those numbers.
I’m at 264 rn
Same game for me.
Early 40s, can confirm that RDR2 hit the spot. Played a lot of it this year.
42yo. Best game I’ve ever played. I spent hours one day searching out the best spots to camp and watch the views.
Hardcore WOW last month, Rip warlock 39
45 here and it’s Baldurs Gate 3 now on my second playthrough but act 3 is lagging and now I gotta wait on patch 5 sometime this week.
