I was pretty disappointed with Starfield, I had high expectations for it, but I think my most disappointing gane is P5 Tactica. I love Persona 5, I love tactics games, I don’t like Tactica at all. I didn’t think the Persona 5 well would ever run dry for me, but apparently it has.

Hogwarts legacy. Not because it was the worst game this year but because it had so much potential that it just dropped. It plays like a bunch of MMORPG devs tried to make a single player game. And falls short of what it could have been. Starfield wasn’t that hard to predict. Bethesda is far from what they were when skyrim was released and they weren’t the best back then either.

Is that just gonna be a thing on reddit now, Every post talking about starfield then moving on to a different game they were more disappointed in?

Really starting to hate how every damn post from gaming subs has to involve starfield.

Final Fantasy XVI. Never let a MMO dev near a single player game ever again.

Hogwarts Legacy is overhyped and looking past the nostalgia it was not worth the wait at all it looks like a ps4 game

FF16. Didn’t feel like FF and the action combat was all flair with no depth once you got your combo sorted.

I’m just so disappointed because this was my favourite series back in the day, and I feel like I’ve gone years without a decent one unless it was a remake.

    Score stood to expectations though.

Final Fantasy XVI. The first quarter or so of the game was cool and showed promise, but holy shit is it awful

So many, it’s weird how many good and bad games were launched this year

    • Starfield (was expecting something else)
    • Diablo 4 (was ok, but was expecting way more)
    • Zelda TOK (liked the first one more)
    • AC Mirage (not what they advertised)
    • Reffall
    • Forspoken (I wish they’d never released it, it was so so boring, thank the lord they released a demo, because I was gonna buy it)

I’m surprised how many people go with Starfield on this one. I only had to see one trailer and the “1000 (procedurally generated) planets” announcement and had 0 expectations already.

MW3. It’s MW2 DLC, nothing more, nothing less. I can’t see how the majority of the fanbase hasn’t boycotted this sorry excuse for a AAA+ title. Paying £70 for this is day light robbery.

Will never understand the level of disappointment in Starfield considering we got a 50 minute video showing everything in the game and how it works and most people seem to be disappointed about things never talked about. I struggle hard to understand being disappointed about something never promised to you. I feel like I enjoyed Starfield alot because I went in knowing exactly how I was going to play based on the info given to me and had no problems because I knew what I was getting into. It seems like everyone paid VERY little attention to detailed news about the game and systems and instead heard “open world space game by Bethesda” and just jumped to “Bethesda is making big budget No Man’s Sky!” A lot of disappointment is self generated.

There are valid criticisms like empty planets and copy paste outposts/ sites on planets…but that’s not nearly as damning as people make it out to be. I have enjoyed exploring planets and finding: invisible demon spiders, mushroom dinosaurs, walking plants, random strong weapons, finding interesting terrains to build outposts on.

The side quests and stories are also great. I really enjoyed the narratives and characters behind the sub factions quest lines and the core crew mates actually have pretty interesting back stories and struggles if you take the time to open them up with dialogue and quests.
