Just one day after the launch of Season of the Wish, Bungie has removed a $15 "starter pack" microtransaction for Destiny 2 that quickly became the subject of criticism and backlash over pay-to-win concerns.
Ugh, I used to be such a fan of Bungie. I play tested for Destiny at Bungie HQ prior to its release and adored the game, but abandoned the series after the core game functions became locked behind a paywall.
I understood the mission statement for the game, but it was never explained to me I’d have to keep paying money to access the same functions for the $60 or whatever game I thought I had purchased.
