By this is mean it was common growing up that you’d place a console in front of the tv. Depended on the house of course, but I growing up the GameCube, Wii, and 360 were all on the floor and it was the same story for my friends. I’ve haven’t seen people do this anymore and I guess that might be because of media centers, game consoles becoming more of a premium item and the jacks being in front of old tvs. I know it wasn’t unheard of to have a shelf because for some reason we kept the og Xbox and ps3 on shelves. Does anyone still do this?
My series X is on the floor, got nowhere else to put it. Doesn’t fit on my stand with the TV 🤷♂️
I only do this when I bust out the GameCube
All the time lol.
That definitely wasn’t common growing up
Only console I have ever had on the floor is my PS5 (wood floor). The thing is just too damn big to sit on tv cabinet.
Never
I’m doing this now lol.
My WiFi is in the basement, I’m staying on the 2nd floor.
If my ps5 is on a shelf/ desk, the WiFi is weak signal.
If I sit it on floor, boom perfect lol
Ps2/3 gen.
Left my OG Xbox on the basement carpet full time and I assume that’s why one day it started smoking out the back and eventually broke.
The first Xbox. I even had it under a blanket sometimes cuz I would be grounded and i would cover it up thinking I was clever. It worked until it didn’t.
I probably stopped doing it when the wii came out. Up until then, everything had a lid type system for putting the games in, so it was easier to have open air above, rwther than being in/on a shelf.
