Sorry if the title is confusing. I’ve been trying to search for an answer to my problem for a while and have come up empty handed. My PC only has 1 ethernet port but I need to have both a hard connection to the internet and to run an ethernet cable to another device from my PC. An ethernet switch does not work for me for some reason. I do not need the other device to have an internet connection.
This is what I need: Internet -> PC -> Device
Why can’t the pc be plugged into a router instead of directly to a modem and have the other device plug into the router too?
