An open world survival, where your objective isn’t just to survive or complete contrived quests. You have a main general objective, eg: escape, defeat evil overlords, etc. This main objective compels you to build/explore/fight. But how you ultimately succeed, has not been pre-ordained by the dev’s, you use your own wits and the sandbox world to succeed.
Action adventure game set in old japanese era with Sakura trees, traditional clothing and samurai.
Army managment of Total War
Diplomacy and Politics from Paradox games
FIrst Person from Bannerlord
But better AI
Unicorn race
Probably something completely unoriginal.
Super weird concept and I have no clue how it would actually work, but a city-building/ARPG hybrid would be what id love to develop someday
Bubble shooter
Make it to where you can’t pay to win. You have to work your way up and unlock features.
I’d love an open world adventure sorta game which would be highly interactive! As a kis, always thought of making such a game based in my town or a replica of the entire actual world!
Turnbased, dialog heavy, isometric rpg. But placed in a modern (or slightly cyberpunk) world. Like a mix between Baldurs Gate 2 and xcom (without BG3’s focus on object interaction and creative problem solving).
I’ve wanted to make this since the D20 Modern rulebooks was released. Haven’t managed it yet, two decades later. I suck.
A soulslike friendship simulator!!
Imagine fighting for dear life, barely surviving, then hanging out with your friends over some pizza afterward. Except you’re an introvert so that wouldn’t happen irl.
First person hack&slay with lots of verticality and lots of room to experiment with spells and physics like in Dark Messiah and Dishonored but cranked up to 11. Also put something in to make the enemies a bit more interesting, like monsters raiding the hub town like in Din’s Curse or something like the Nemeses from shadow of Mordor.
A isometric soulslike-roguelike: think Vampire Survivors/Halls of Torment with Dark Souls Mobs and Bosses with Dark Souls maps and boss arenas overall theme and Music. Gear system from halls of Torment with Dark Souls iconic weapons and an RPG stat leveling system with Souls so that deviates from existing Random Card style approaches (no need for sudo gacha). Vendors found in various stages which have secret areas and mimic chests as well as gates to open to access boss arenas (these stay open on successive attempts (optional) so their is progression if you want). Would also need Blocking that interrupts auto attack and a parry system accessible depending on your equipment e.g. parry knife in one hand or shield equipped. Option to leave a stage at the cost of half your Souls (or all or lose equipment not sure which is the best option). Vast hordes of mobs to slay with traps and Lore which already exists in the universe to draw on.
