Hello Everyone,

I’m curious and how folks stop themselves from buying too many games.

I’ve been gaming since I can remember. I’ve always loved to play games to relax or sometimes I’d play with friends. The problem now is as an adult with adult money, I tend to just buy the games and consoles I want. I have a PS5, Switch, and Steamdeck. I was looking through my games on each system and have realized I have a good number of games I haven’t finished or even played. In addition, I find myself picking up games on sale. Also when a big release comes out I tend to buy it and just play it then so I won’t miss out on the memes and community.

Back to the crux of the question. What do you guys do to stop yourselves from buying too many games or do you have a strategy for clearing your backlogs? I’m just curious.

I don’t buy games unless I plan to play them in the near future. Games always go down in price over time, so might as well buy it later if I’m not going to play now
