I can build whole nations and esoteric cults, and the complex interplay between them without issue. But if you ask me to name a character or city I devolve into a disaster. This site has saved me countless times. Its generators aren’t always brilliant, but they suffice well enough for most stuff and occasionally turn out absolute gems.
Basically everything by Watabou is amazing. In particular I use the city and village generators a lot.
I know you included all of donjon, but special shout out to the demographics tool.
https://www.fantasytowngenerator.com/ is pretty self explanatory. It technically applies ability scores to NPCs but that’s ignorable.
For ambience, I really like Michael Ghelfi on YouTube. He does a lot of music now too, but he started with and excels at, imho, a huge variety of ambience tracks.
First time I’ve came across Watabou. That’s pretty slick!
Oh my god I neeeeded this fantasy town generator. Thank you so much
