I had the first HP WMR headset and as far as I can tell, the G2 has the same damn controllers. The tracking was awful outside of the rather small cone (compared to the Quest 2 and PSVR2 imo) in front of the headset. Did they really never address that or am I just being pessimistic?
Nope, tracking is still shit. It’s the one major problem with my G2. I use it mostly for Simracing now, so it’s not a problem, but beatsaber was a frustrating experience.
Yep, same reason I abandoned my HP headset. Though you’re right, it’s pretty solid for something like sim racing. I didn’t have my rig at the time but the little bit I did with it was pretty good.
