    This is ridiculous and sad. Cheers to the helpers who managed to get a few of them back into the ocean. It breaks my heart to know the majority just stranded and died on the beach.

        I saw it in the dutch news where it was said they were able to put only a couple back in the ocean.

      They don’t suffocate. Whales breathe air. The most common cause of death for stranded whales is dehydration as they get too hot out of the water.
