That massive spike of 50c/kWh at the left looks tiny compared to today even though that’s already insanely expensive

    I honestly don’t understand. Isn’t Finland one of the countries who should have figured out how to heat a home efficiently a long time ago?

      Efficiency and electricity prices aren’t really related. You can have an efficient method of heating despite high electricity prices. While some older houses still use direct electric heating many of them have switched to air- or ground-source heatpumps aswell as virtually every new house. Industrial and apartment buildings generally use district heating.
