I never ate pigeon or guinea pig. Only heard that it tastes like chicken and rabbit. But I still want to taste it.
Mangosteens
Really really good balsamic, the stuff that costs like $150 for a few ounces. I watched a video series about the making of it and taste tests against regular balsamic, and the desire to try it has been floating around my head.
Yeah I watched it too, I make some apple vinegar (sometimes unintentionally) and really like it.
It is similar to the basic acidic “balsamic” from these videos.

Jackfruit, durian(I want to know if it’s as bad as everyone says) and lion’s mane mushroom (I had it once but it’s so hard to find here). Also I saw a Ugandan recipe for plantain stew, subbed them with green unripe bananas but it’s probably not the same. Oh and Ethiopian injera!
Those french snails! But on the milder side I’d love to taste rabbit, seems like it would actually be really good

Last rabbit I had lived for about a month in cage in our house. Dad said that he hadn’t killed rabbit in a long time when he started to prepare him.
I’m a very adventurous eating so I’ve had the chance to eat a bunch of different foods but my list of meats to try include goose, horse, dog, emu, and snake.
Coconut crab, but sadly, I think that is illegal and it will never happen. Alas.
Matsutake/pine mushroom
I had all kinds of mushrooms but not these ones. Some had this little problem that they are edible only once.
What do you mean they are edible only once?
Edit: To be clear, the post above implies that they are poisonous. They are not.
I mean mushrooms in general, I pick mushrooms in forest and have to know which are poisonous.
I also pick mushrooms in the forest and have to know which ones are poisonous. With only a couple of exceptions, most are either poisonous for the first time (and then continuing after) or not poisonous at all. Until you start getting into eating some of them in large quantities and differences in people’s digestive systems.
Anyway, matsutake are perfectly safe to eat more than once unless you specifically have some sort of sensitivity to mushrooms in general.
Don’t forget that most mushrooms are poisonous/inedible raw you have to cook them with few exceptions.
I would love to forage but the risk of eating something poisonous definitely puts me off doing it
I’d love to try goat and kangaroo meat. They say both taste gamey. No idea what that means though
If you didn’t have sheep (mutton) you may try it too. It is not for everyone but I like it. It has this musky flavour which some dont like.
Goat is lush! Curried goat is lovely in particular, it’s slow cooked so it melts in the mouth almost. It’s like lamb but better imo.

I’ve never eaten any kind of snake before. I’d be interested in trying snake. I’ve had gator sausage and kangaroo jerky, but snake seems intriguing.
I was going to say snake too. I’d feel guilty though because I love snakes.
i’m not usually a fish person but i just saw a pic of salmon and it made me really hungry
Salmon is one of the most delicious things in the sea. Especially Chinook/king salmon. So good.
