It actually does now! and has for years! anything that runs in the steam deck will run on your normal linux computer, meaning that most games work at this point, with many more to follow

Do you have any good news for a person working in graphic design industry? Any sensible alternatives to Adobe CC/Affinity suite?

You can run some Photoshop versions on Linux, but I would just seek alternatives. I’ve been using Krita for ages. It’s not Photoshop, but it has non-destructive editing unlike GIMP.

Oh yeah totally. GIMP + KRITA can do nearly anything you need from Photoshop, and kdenlive/davinci resolve can replace any video software you need

I actually don’t use steam much anymore, most games I play have their own shitty launcher that isn’t supported on Linux, like Honkai Star Rail.

Yeah, Mihoyo is actively hostile towards Linux users, people have made patches in the past to make their games work on Linux, but Mihoyo usually ends up sending legal threats and getting those people taken down, or adding their own patches that make the previous patches not work anymore. If not for that, I guarantee their games would be easily playable on Linux.

If you’re interested though, I can send a DM with an alternative. I don’t actually use it myself but I’ve heard good things about it. Unlike with Mihoyo, it doesn’t include spyware that stays open after you close the game, stays around after you uninstall, or automatically starts up whenever you boot.
