More bullshit without all the facts. The two cases of popcorn lung were directly linked to the binding agent propylene glycol in one batch of “overseas” vape liquid. Now I’m not stupid enough to think that sucking any type of substance into your lung besides oxygen is ideal but it’s one hell of a lot better that conventional combustion smoking.

The two cases of popcorn lung were directly linked to the binding agent propylene glycol in one batch of “overseas” vape liquid.

Propylene glycol is a bog standard diluent for e-liquid, usually used in combination with vegetable glycerin. I don’t know which country you’re in but at least some of its domestic e-juice makers use PG for sure.

Popcorn lung is associated with diacetyl and other diketones used in food flavouring (it’s called popcorn lung because the harms were first noticed in workers making popcorn). It should be banned for use in vapes but Big Food is still fighting off compensation claims so the various regulatory authorities worldwide have been slow to name it as a risk of vaping. Some e-juice manufacturers take pains to avoid it anyway.

Oh look - more intellectually dishonest anti-vaping propaganda…

I smoked for thirty years before I discovered vaping and switched. My lungs feel better now than they have at any other point within my memory.

But if whichever lying shitstains are responsible for this clearly deliberate propaganda campaign had their way about it, I would’ve never gotten that chance, and I’d still be smoking, and dying or dead.

And why? What’s their goal? Why are they trying so hard, and so brazeny dishonestly, to undermine a thing that can save lives? What’s their interest in making it impossible for people like me to have an alternative that’s undeniably at the very least MUCH less of a health risk? Why do they want smokers to keep smoking, and keep dying?

Why spend so much on propaganda against vaping. Just do it like they did in my country and pay a few lobbyists so they increase the taxes on liquids by 5000% so the tabacco companies can take over that market with harmful e-waste disposables, too. *sigh*

I don’t think they’re making an argument that vaping is healthy, just that it’s less harmful than literal ash in your lungs.

You dont inhale ash… And vaping isnt healthy by any means. Lungs are ment to process gasses not liquids suspended in //those gases

//Smoke particulates and resins are not ash

Oh then all those black smokers lungs are just fakes then gotcha.

Way to completely miss the point of not only the first person you replied to but mine as well. Neither of us said it was healthy. Stop trying to start a fight with people you agree with.

Smoke particulate and resins are inhaled, ash is the burnt stuff that falls off the end of the cigarettes ya hoser.

I didnt miss the point here, you did. Neither option is healthy in any sense. And if anything vaping is more hazardous to ones health as it really does destroy the alveoli (by coating them with sticky glycerine) in the lungs, ya know, what absorbs the oxygen and releases CO2.

              Go take bio 101 m8

    what a load of bullocks:

Scientists still don’t fully understand the association between vaping and lung disease, so it’s unclear what role vaping may have played in Allard’s case.

Folks sure like defending vaping. “Hey our addiction is better than the old addiction that was also presented as not that harmful until we found out it was harmful, but vaping isn’t for sure because trust me bro.”
