After announcing 2024 Solterra prices and updates, Subaru made a goof on its press release. Subaru mistakenly said some 2024 Solterra owners will qualify for the $7,500 EV tax credit. But there’s one (major) issue – It’s not built in the US.

Why would the tax credit apply to leased vehicles but not purchased?
The problem is the car isn’t built in the US.
I understand that but why would it qualify for a lease. I thought they had the same requirements for leases.
Has it improved since launch? Not really.
